Hallelujah! I now have wireless all over the house (3000 sq ft). I have tried another repeater device (are you listening ASUS?). Worked for a couple of days, never had much of an extended range. It would lose the signal frequently. Finally gave up. Now this one, this is the champ. So easy to set up. Used my laptop. Disconnected my wireless connection. Plugged in the Diamond. Connected the Ethernet cable (enclosed) to the Diamond and the laptop. Opened Firefox. There was the setup interface. A couple of clicks and I was in business. I plugged in the Diamond in the hallway, and now I have a great signal all the way to the far end of the house. Get this one. So easy. More importantly (well, just as importantly) it works. Happy, happy.

Our house is pretty long, and it just so happens that my bedroom is located on the extreme opposite end of where our wireless internet is set up. I’ve always had to come to the middle of the house to get internet signal on my laptop, and for years I never realized it could be fixed with a simple $60 gadget (that really was super simple to set up). One thing about the instructions is that it says to turn off your wifi and plug an ethernet cable into the repeater, but I personally thought it was much easier to just use the wireless and manually select the repeater’s wifi identity (and remember that the password it will ask for is located on the back of the repeater). I’m actually writing this review from my bedroom and I just finished watching a streaming episode of TV on Hulu…AND my new Google TV in my room is able to connect to the internet now too. Highly recommend.
