Gaming question by Whiz Kid: What routers are good for gaming and also good for my wallet?
I am looking into buying a new wireless router that would improve my gaming experience on not only my computers but also my gaming consoles. Can anyone help me decide on which router i need? I frequently play on my Xbox 360 and have a very slow connection along with a moderate NAT. I have done everything humanly possible with my current router to fix this and had no such luck. Help me look in the right direction. :) please and thank you!

Actually, the router is used in a situation when we have to run internet on more than 1 computers the functions of a router is to divide the speed equally among multiple computers. For example, if u have an 8 MBPS broadband connection, and u have 8 computers, then ur speed will be distributed equally to each computer, i.e. 1 MBPS in this case; otherwise, by just using a modem, the speed will be unequally distributed, like it may be that if u have 8 MBPS internet, then possibly one computer can get the 90 % speed, and others, just 10 % of the complete speed.

So, looking above, u can realise, that if u are running internet on multiple devices, then u may be getting slow speed because of unequal speed distribution. No settings can change this significantly

So, u turn to router, there are many good routers in the market, take that which suits ur budget. Examples are CISCO, NETGEAR, DLINK, NOVATEL, VERIZON, etc.
